The device has no alarm or alert sounds of its own. If you hear a beep or a pulse while a session runs, it’s almost always the program itself.
Burst programs pulse by design
Some programs are bursts: a carrier tone switched on and off at a slower rhythm. You can spot them by the “×” in the name, such as 1 Hz × 1000 Hz or 5 Hz × 1000 Hz. The first number is how many times a second the tone switches on.
- 1 Hz × 1000 Hz plays a 1000 Hz tone for half a second, then pauses for half a second. You may hear one steady beep every second for the whole session.
- 5 Hz × 1000 Hz switches the tone on five times a second, so it sounds like a quick, even pulse.
That steady rhythm is the program working as intended.
Single-frequency programs are steady
Programs with a single number, such as 40 Hz or 100 Hz, play continuously with no on-off rhythm.
Tell us if a single-frequency program cuts in and out, at any intensity, or a burst sounds irregular rather than even. That isn’t expected: let us know which program, which intensity, and what you hear.
